The SSFIV: AE ver. 2012 International Team Tournament

Perhaps the biggest highlight of Canada Cup is the Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition ver. 2012 International Team Tournament. This is a 5-on-5 competition, double elimination and character locked, with duplicate characters un-allowed within a single team.

The winners of the International 5-on-5 will claim their share of the $5000 total prize pool for the tournament as well as one of the extremely limited edition Mad Catz / Canada Cup 2012 Arcade FightStick V.S. Edition (see below), one for each member.

The last member of Team Canada 1 will be determined this Thursday through the wild card robin robin tournament. The winner of this five-player tournament has two options: join as the last member of Team Canada 1, or become captain of Team Canada 2. If winner has a character conflict with the first team, that person will automatically become captain of Team Canada 2 and the runner-up will join Canada 1.
